Dale M. Krause, J.D., LL.M., is the President and CEO of Krause Financial Services, LLC, a Wisconsin based corporation that designs,develops, markets, and distributes insurance products used in Medicaid and Veterans benefits planning throughout the United States. Krause Financial Services is the only attorney-led financial services firm in the nation that specializes in helping families qualify for Medicaid and Veterans benefits through the use of various insurance products. With over 25 years of experience Mr. Krause is a national Veterans Benefits and Medicaid Planning advocate, earning the distinct reputation as the “Pioneer of Medicaid Compliant Annuities.”
Mr. Krause earned his B.S. degrees in Sociology and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 1981; his J.D. degree from Thomas Cooley Law School, of Lansing,Michigan, in 1985; and his LL.M. in Taxation from DePaul College of Law, of Chicago, Illinois,in 1990. He is a practicing member of the Wisconsin State Bar and an emeritus member of the Michigan State Bar. He is also a licensed insurance agent throughout the country, and holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 securities licenses.
Mr. Krause is a regular speaker at continuing legal education and financial planning forums throughout the United States. Mr. Krause’s work and experience have also been recognized in major publications, including: Senior Market Advisor, NAELA News, The Wall Street Journal, and Lawyers Weekly USA. In Adriane G. Berg’s recent book entitled “How Not to go Broke at 102,” Mr. Krause was interviewed on the topic of Medicaid planning and the use of Medicaid Compliant Annuities in apost-Deficit Reduction Act of 2005 environment. Mr. Krause was quoted in the article entitled Immediate Gratification, which appears in the October 2010 issue of Financial Advisor Magazine, wherein Mr. Krause was recognized as a specialist in using immediate annuities in Medicaid planning. Mr. Krause was recognized in an article entitled Medicaid Planning: Proceed with Caution, published by the National Ethics Bureau, which appears in the September 2006 issue of Senior Market Advisor. Finally, several pieces of Mr. Krause’s presentation materials have been made part of the Pre- Retirement Financial Planning Topics course curriculum at the College for Financial Planning.
As a result of his national sales Mr. Krause continues to achieve some of the top honors in the insurance industry, including: “Top of the Table” (highest distinction) with the Million Dollar Round Table – The Premier Association of Financial Professionals, for the past seven years. Additionally, Mr. Krause has received the Chairman’s Leadership Award for outstanding performance and President’s Club status (highest ranking) from ELCO Mutual for the past ten years. In June of 2009, Mr. Krause was appointed to the Advisory Board for Senior Market Advisor, a national publication for financial professionals. Finally, Mr. Krause was the selling agent in the landmark Medicaid Compliant Annuity cases of Veith (Ohio) and Weatherbee (Pennsylvania).
